Negative connotations associated with The Eye of Horus are due to anti-teutonic propaganda books which conflated National Socialism with Satanism and Alister Crowley. Crowley wrote about Egyptian Gods, Sex Magic, and he was also a British spy who tried to infiltrate the German Worker’s Party (which was lead by Adolf Hitler and later became the National Socialist Party) as well as the National Fascist Party in Italy. Crowley was exiled from both Germany and Italy as a result. In his death, Crowley has been exploited by propaganda writers to discredit others. For example, what they wrote about Hitler and Crowley is analogous to what Peter Levinda (an Aquino Cultist) wrote about H.P. Lovecraft and Crowley.
