ROSWELL PRISONER OF WAR CAMP

Roswell German Prisoner of War Camp Historical Marker sign, New Mexico, USA

The U.S. system of camps consisted of base camps and branch camps, and the locations were selected to put POWs close to work sites, most of which were farming regions.

By the end of the war, New Mexico had seven camps. Camps Roswell and Camp Lordsburg were base camps, and POWs who arrived at those camps could be moved to other smaller camps when needed, particularly during harvest season in agricultural areas.

Though many POWs aided American agriculture, others were assigned to different projects. The Roswell POW base camp was built for up to 4800 POWs, and most of the men were German and Italians captured during the North African campaign. They worked as construction laborers on local projects such as the placement of concrete and stones to line the Spring River that passes through downtown Roswell. Some 60 miles due north, prisoners helped construct the Fort Sumner Army Airfield.

Dedication of Roswell POW Camp Historical Marker

A dedication ceremony for the Roswell Prisoner of War Camp Official Scenic Historic Marker was held on Thursday, December 13, 2018. The event was sponsored by the Roswell Rotary Club and included a luncheon and presentations followed by a ribbon cutting.

Speakers at the event included the sponsors/marker applicants Steve Henderson and Dale Eck; Gretchen Brock, HPD Historian and Marker Program Coordinator; and WWII veteran and local farmer Morgan Nelson.

Camp Roswell was one of the first and largest prisoners of war base camps built in the United States. The camp operated from August 1942 to February 1946 and held over 4800 German POWs at its peak. Most POWs performed agricultural labor for nearby farms, particularly during cotton season.

The New Mexico Official Scenic Historic Marker program is a partnership with local residents and state agencies. Roswell City Councilor Steve Henderson and local historian Dale Eck submitted the application and background research to the New Mexico Historic Preservation Division, which administers the program. The Cultural Properties Review Committee reviews and approves marker text. The New Mexico Department of Transportation funds, installs, and maintains the markers. NMDOT District 2 prepared the site and coordinated the installation of the Roswell POW Camp marker.

The marker is located near the site of the POW Camp located just south of the intersection of Orchard Park Road and US 285.

Japanese Internment Camp Was Renamed Roswell POW Camp

FROM DOUGLAS DIETRICH’s Own PERSONAL FILES : The Japanese Internment Camp at Roswell was renamed the Roswell Prisoner of War camp. Dietrich was able to smuggle photographs of these clippings out from El Presidio from a scrapbook he was ordered to incinerate. Clippings also include stories of National Socialist defectors being assassinated by other German POWs. Project Paperclip was the US government’s program to utilize National Socialist technology by offering to destigmatize former National Socialist scientists and engineers in exchange for their expertise.

Alien hunters have claimed the US military covered up a UFO landing in the infamous Roswell Incident seven decades ago – but now German researchers claim the truth was that the US Government was experimenting with super-advanced technology captured from the National Socialists.

In addition to German POWs, Camp Roswell also held Asian POWs, which has been deceptively omitted from the new Roswell POW Camp Historical Marker.

The US military promoted “Alien UFO crash” narrative at Roswell covers up the fact that Emperor Hirohito sent his secret air force to Roswell to show American officials his capability to deliver enough biocidal weapons to wipe out the entire North American continent, thereby forcing America to sue for peace, making Japan the winner of WW-2.

Roswell Witnesses

Keith Call, a long time listener and friend of Douglas Dietrich, has sent the following two emails which provide Roswell witnesses’ confirmation of the Asian POW cover-up conspiracy as exposed by Douglas Dietrich.

“Douglas, Greetings!

No need for response, but I wanted to inform you about a lunch I enjoyed
with a new Wheaton College staff member, David Iglesias.

He is a former JAG lawyer at the Pentagon and District Attorney for the
State of New Mexico. If you’ve ever seen the film *A Few Good Men*, the Tom Cruise character is based on him.

Also, he accompanied the late Rep. Steve Schiff when he investigated
Roswell in the late 1990s.

I told Iglesias about your information regarding Col. Aquino and Roswell.
Instead of eye-rolling or evasion, *a la* Illinois MUFON, he listened very
carefully and quietly stated, “That makes perfect sense.”

A few minutes later he said, “And the more I think about it, the more sense
it makes.”

One inevitably recalls the famous declaration in *A Few Good Men*: “You
can’t handle the truth!” Indeed.

Warmly,

K” – Kieth Call (Mon, Sep 22, 2014)

“My dear friend:

Greetings, Douglas!

I pray this note finds you well.

A few weeks ago I was listening to your show and was pleasantly surprised to hear my name. You were referencing a conversation we had in Las Vegas, I believe, in which I’d mentioned an acquaintance in Roswell, NM.

In fact, the man you referenced is not my relative, but Dan Dwyer, one of the Roswell firemen who pulled the bodies from the wreckage in July, 1947.

One month ago I was in Roswell during my annual trip to New Mexico and corroborated the account with a knowledgeable friend who resides in that city. My friend confirmed that Dan Dwyer’s nephew relates that his uncle privately stated that the mangled bodies from that crash site were “clearly Japanese,” though publicly Dan Dwyer trumpeted the accepted fiction, undoubtedly out of fear.

Anyway, I just wanted to confirm the story, as you quite rightly and admirably maintain the facts, just the facts.

Carry on! You’re doing good work.

Warmly,

K” – Kieth Call (Wed, Jul 20, 2016)
